Are you closing?
No, Windmill Gardens has been in operation here for over 40 years and is here to stay! Our downtown Sumner garden shop will always be our “home place.” We will continue to be open and here to help you grow - all year round.
Are you moving?
Nope, we are not moving. The Windmill Garden shop is here to stay. Stay tuned for more details on our new growing location at our Riverside Farm!
Did you sell Windmill Gardens?
No, Windmill Gardens is still owned and run by our family. Sumner will always be our home, and Windmill Gardens will always be our flagship store location.
Did you sell part of the property?
We need more space to grow, so we are moving our greenhouses to our new, larger growing location at Riverside Farm, just 2 miles down the road. The acreage where our greenhouses used to be has been sold, but our Windmill Gardens shop will stay.
Where are your greenhouses going?
Our greenhouses are moving to our new larger Riverside Farm location, but our Windmill Gardens shop is staying at the original location.
Who bought the property that was sold?
A developer has purchased a piece of the property where we used to grow onsite. The property that was purchased is zoned for and can be developed as commercial or residential.
Will there still be a gift shop / floral shop?
Yes, the Windmill Floral Studio is still open and will continue to operate year round.
Is the restaurant staying?
Yes, all of the Windmill Village businesses are staying onsite including: Tea Madame, Salon Expressions, Windmill Floral Studio, and the Windmill Bistro.
